Abstract:
Alumina has a long history as a raw material for various applications, including ceramics for the semiconductor industry. Among the various properties of a raw material, achieving a high fired density at a lower sintering temperature is crucial. This talk will describe how to design alumina powders suitable for those applications. Key factors include purity, particle morphology, and particle size distribution, free of agglomerates. This talk will also cover other applications in the semiconductor industry, such as thermal-conductive fillers.
